So my new(ish) band Suicide Balloons went ahead and made this little lo-fi covers EP called “Projectionist [EP],” using songs from a bunch of artists we like. We selected and arranged these songs not only because we enjoy them, but because we thought they fit together thematically a little bit. From beginning to end, I see this little thing kinda suggesting the parabolic nature of a failed kind of crush/relationship, from infatuation, to denial and resignation. Of course that might just be a bit too on the nose and/or pretentious, so feel free to disregard my stupid, stupid mouth. Whatever. I hope you listen and download free from our bandcamp, found HERE. yeah so this is just another shameless self promotion by both of us and really idgaf
i do like that interpretation though. i think it really works very well, and it’s a cool way to look at the album. i like to throw on there that it’s the Projectionist himself who went through all that, so we see it through his point of view, both literally and figuratively. meh.
